AT-ART9XI
The AT-ART9XI is Audio-Technica’s high-end flagship iron-core MC cartridge, featuring a boron cantilever equipped with a Special Line Contact stylus.
The designation "ART" stands for "Audio-Technica Reference Transducer," a title reserved exclusively for the most prestigious models in our cartridge lineup. Its magnetic circuit is specifically engineered for this model, delivering an output voltage of 0.5mV (1kHz, 5cm/sec). This makes it exceptionally versatile and easy to drive, delivering the delicate nuances expected of a premium MC cartridge while maintaining a powerful, dynamic musicality.
Furthermore, the cartridge body features threaded mounting holes, ensuring effortless and precise installation on integrated tonearms.
Featuring a dual moving coil system configured in an inverted "V" shape, this design achieves exceptional channel separation and a wide frequency response. The result is razor-sharp sound imaging and localization, while minimizing distortion to an absolute minimum.
Neodymium Magnet and Permendur Yoke for Dramatically Enhanced Magnetic Energy
Through a specially engineered magnetic circuit, the magnetic energy in the gap where the generator coils reside is perfectly optimized. This ensures an optimal 0.5mV output voltage and a powerfully dynamic musical playback.
PCOCC Coils for High-Fidelity Signal Transmission
The coils are crafted from PCOCC (Pure Copper by Ohno Continuous Casting). Because PCOCC does not produce crystal grain boundaries in the direction of signal transmission, it enables an incredibly pure and uncolored audio transfer.
Equipped with a "Nude" Special Line Contact stylus for faithful signal tracking, paired with a solid boron cantilever known for its exceptional response characteristics and transient speed.
Precision-Machined Aluminum Base: The Foundation of Stable Playback
The base component, which supports the magnetic circuit and the vibration system, is precision-machined from aluminum. This rigid foundation ensures rock-solid stability during playback.
Hybrid Body Design to Suppress Parasitic Resonance
By combining an aluminum housing with high-rigidity resin, the hybrid structure effectively neutralizes unwanted parasitic resonances, pushing audio fidelity to its highest potential.
Threaded Mounting Holes for Seamless Installation on Integrated Tonearms
The cartridge body features integrated threaded screw holes, allowing direct attachment to a headshell or integrated tonearm with just two screws—completely eliminating the need for nuts.
