Headshell-Integrated Model with Nude Shibata Stylus
Equipped with the AT-LT10 headshell, designed for easy installation on universal tonearms.
The *lightweight AT-LT10 headshell (approx. 10.0g, excluding lead wires and mounting screws) is optimized for cartridges with threaded mounting holes. The lead wires feature OFC (Oxygen-Free Copper) conductors, renowned for their superior sonic quality, while the aluminum die-cast body ensures stable and consistent playback.

The Highest-Ever Sound Quality in a VM-Type Cartridge*
Achieving both delicate expression and immersive realism
For this renewal, the cartridge was developed with the concept of balancing delicate playback and immersive sound. We thoroughly reviewed the materials and manufacturing process, pursuing not only pure sound reproduction but also a high level of expressive capability to bring music to life.
*Compared with audio-technica JP products as of May 2025
- Newly Adopting PCUHD for the Coil Conductor
For the first time in a VM-type cartridge, PCUHD - also used in Hi-Fi audio cables - is implemented. This achieves powerful low-frequency performance and a wide soundstage. By reducing the number of coil turns, the sound becomes lighter and more responsive.
PCUHD: Pure Copper Ultra High Drawability
PCUHD® is a registered trademark of Furukawa Electric Co., Ltd.

- Hard Material Cantilever for High-Grade Models
The cantilever material of high-grade models AT-VM760xSL, AT-VM750xSH, and AT-VM745xML, equipped with line-contact styli, is made of boron. Its excellent vibration transmission enables fast and precise sound onset.
- Lightweight Line-Contact Stylus Tip
By redesigning the shape and length of the stylus tip, significant weight reduction has been achieved compared to previous models. With a smaller diameter and shorter length, the effective mass is reduced, allowing for more accurate tracing of vinyl grooves.
- Housing Material That Maximizes Stylus Performance
The premium body features a die-cast aluminum alloy housing, suppressing unwanted resonance and further enhancing the excellent sound quality of the high-performance line-contact stylus.
- Diverse Stylus Lineup to Meet Desired Sound Quality
Equipped with a solid Shibata stylus, excelling not only in high frequencies but also in reproducing rich mid and low ranges. Offers clear and impactful sound imaging, effectively conveying the energy of live performances. The large contact area between the stylus tip and groove reduces wear and ensures long lifespan.

- Center Shield to Suppress Electrical Crosstalk
The new VM-type cartridge features a large center shield plate positioned between the left and right channel coils. This effectively suppresses electrical crosstalk between channels and maintains high channel separation.
- Paratroidal Coil Structure in the Body
The AT-VMx series features a unique generator system called the paratroidal coil structure. The paratroidal design is a unified unit with a seamless core, keeping the magnetic flux confined within the specially wound coil. As a result, power generation efficiency is improved and excellent linearity is achieved.

- Easier Operation and Improved Usability
Equipped with screw-type cartridge mounting holes.
Compatible with integrated tonearms widely used in the global Hi-Fi audio market. By switching to a screw-type specification, mounting the cartridge onto an integrated tonearm has become much easier.
- Enhanced Stylus Tip Visibility During Operation
Previous VM-type cartridges received feedback that the stylus tip was difficult to see when lowering onto the record. The new model maintains compatibility with previous models (replacement stylus and body) while improving visibility by adding a V-shaped cut on the protector as a guide for the stylus tip position.
- Environmentally Friendly Packaging
Plastic usage has been significantly reduced, resulting in a more eco-friendly package.
