Developed as a professional studio monitor headphone, the ATH-M50 made its debut at the world's largest musical instrument trade show, "NAMM Show," in the U.S. in January 2007.

it gained favor not only among professionals but also general users seeking high-quality listening experiences, spreading its reputation far and wide.

This made the ATH-M50 a global best-selling classic model. Despite its affordable price, the M50 possesses excellent acoustic performance,

widely used by musicians, content creators, gamers, and a vast number of music lovers.

⦁ Designed and Developed in Japan

In 2006, the chief headphone engineer, then approaching retirement, poured all the experience and knowledge he had accumulated as a technician over many years unreservedly into the development of the ATH-M50.

From the design of the drivers—crucial for sound quality in the left and right units—to the overall acoustic design, all steps from R&D to production were completed entirely in-house.

As a creative tool for sound engineers and artists, it achieved the superior acoustic performance, usability, and robustness required of monitor headphones.

Although the ATH-M50 received high praise from many professional users after its launch, the development team was not satisfied. They continued to listen to the professional voices using the headphones in the field every day.

Subsequently, in 2014, refined over 7 years, we launched the evolved update model, ATH-M50x.

Since then, it continues to be supported and loved by numerous artists and engineers in studios and live venues around the world.
